Reformation 500 Worship

Sunday, October 29th, 11:00 AM

Churches from Bismarck-Mandan and from across Western North Dakota are gathering in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. This worship gathering will be at the Bismarck Event Center on Reformation Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Bishop Mark Narum is preaching and Holy Communion will be a part of Festival Worship. Mark your calendar now and plan on joining fellow Lutherans and Christians, as together, we are “Freed and Renewed in Christ” to live and serve in Christ’s name! Trinity Lutheran will be joining this gathering and we will not have Worship or Church School at Trinity on that day.

This October 31st marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing the 95 Thesis on the doors of the Wittenberg Chapel. This act sparked both conflict and conversations within the Church and was the start of the Protestant Reformation. To learn more you can visit the ELCA webpage, elca.org, and click on Lutheran 500.

Note: The Reformation 500 service will be broadcast state-wide on the BEK television station and live streamed for those who cannot attend: https://www.bektel.com/bbn/streaming/bek-prime-western/
